Two fine fellows were working very hard all day at the local coal mine. One of the fellows managed to get a really dirty face, but the other fellow managed to stay clean. When they reached the end of their day and re-joined the surface in the lift, the fellow with the dirty face simply went home, however, the fellow with the clean face rushed off to wash.

The clean faced fine fellow saw the mess his fellow fellow had on his face and assumed his face was equally foul, while his fellow messy faced fellow assumed his was fantastically flawless.
