Well…the lower jaw of the animal, if it were a mammal, would be made up of only one bone…You could look for hair on their bodies/head…And I know that all mammals have a middle ear that has three bones in it. Although, you probably couldn’t really tell that information from just a headshot…

Princess, you’re close enough with the ears.
If you can see it’s ears outside then it gives birth… e.g Humans, Goat, Cow etc. and if it’s ears are inside then it lays eggs…Fish, Hen etc.
