Chain Gang

A boy has an over-sized chain around his leg and the chain is bolted to the floor.

The only way out is the door across the room. The chain will not reach the door. How does he get out?

  Is the chain actually tied on? Is it loose?

  If it is, then the boy can just slip out of the chain and walk over to the door.

  Id say the other possibility is the boy is an amputee, so he takes off his leg, puts it back on with the chain off, and walks out

  It is an “oversized” chain so yes, he can simply slip his leg out and walk to the door.
