One dark and stormy night, an old lady was knitting by the fire when she heard a strange noise outside. She went to her door and found a kitten at the doorstep, drenched to the bone. She looked at its leather collar and saw the cat had no name or other information. She couldn’t leave it outside so she brought it into the house and dried the cat off. Afterwards she put the cat on a blanket in front of the fire to warm up. She left the cat there as she went into the kitchen to fix herself dinner. When she was finished eating, she went to go check on the kitten and saw it was dead. How did the kitten die?

He could,nt breath in the blanket and the smoke from the fire.
Nope, that’s not it. Keep trying, though, you’re on the right track.
electrical blanket + wet cat = dead cat.
assuming the old lady was wise in her old age and knew not to do such a thing perhaps it was..
shock, from the sever change in temperature?
Nope, keep trying.
It jumped into the fire?
No, it was not a suicide kitten!
Keep trying.
I Guess the flammable leather collar caught on fire and the poor kitten burned to death.
You’re definitely getting warmer. Read the riddle again, everything you need is there.
Did it have anything to do with the fire? Did it die from the blanket catching on fire? Was there something in the fire? Or did it have something to do with the leather collar?
Both of those clues are important.
The blanket caught on fire
it was leather
When the leather dried, it shrank causing the kitten to choke
The leather collar shrunk as it dried and the cat suffocated.
