A farmer challenges an engineer, a physicist, and a mathematician to fence off the largest amount of area using the least amount of fence.
The engineer made his fence in a circle and said it was the most efficient.
The physicist made a long line and said that the length was infinite. Then he said that fencing half of the Earth was the best.
The mathematician laughed at the others and with his design, beating the others. What did he do?

my solution to this would be based on perception. Is the inside or the outisde of the fence the fenced off area. if the physicist says he fenced off half the world which side is fenced?
I would fence off the smallest area and say the outside area around the fence is the fenced off area.
however if the answer is a mathmatical solution i do not have a clue.
Actually CrazyNomad, you’re not so crazy!
The mathematician made a small fence around himself and declared himself to be on the outside.
You’re today’s winner. Good job.
w00t! :)
