# Short Change

A fellow goes into a convenience store to buy a couple of things. He buys like a package of razor blades and shaving cream, a candy bar and a bottle of Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil, all of which he puts on the counter. The clerk brings up his total and it comes to \$13.59. The fellow opens his wallet and finds a buck. He says, “Aw man, oh wait a minute. I have an emergency \$50 tucked in my wallet.” He apologizes to the clerk and says, “Look at, this is all I have so I have to give you this fifty-dollar bill.”

He hands the clerk the fifty, the clerk gives him his change and as he does so, the clerk says, “Hah, that’s interesting.”

And the customer says, “Jeez, it is.”

The question is, what was so interesting?
