I have an eye, yet can not see. I can poke and prod until you bleed, yet people still enjoy dancing with me.

A needle
Crabman, I wanted to ask, did the second line make it more confusing or no? I came up with that line by myself, and I wasn’t sure if it made much sense.
Each statement in the second line increased my confidence that the answer would be needed. I can think I have an answer from 1 line or a few words, but then use each addition price of information to test my potential answer against.
For example, from the first line it could be needle, hurricane, even shoe… maybe more. No one ENJOYS dancing with a hurricane, so scratch that. One might enjoy dancing with shoes, but surely not ones that poke you and make you bleed. This leaves only a needle that all bits of information easily apply to. Dancing of course a very fitting metaphor for sewing. I’ve watch talented people sew and “dancing with the needle” fits very aptly.
A needle??
Crabman, you are today’s winner!
A needle.
