    Well, the first letter of each of the words is later on in the alphabet than any of the other letters…

    Then, by assigning a simple numerical value to each letter a = 1, b = 2, c = 3, and so on…

    Take the word, “yet”.

    The first letter “y” would be equivalent to the numerical value 25.

    Now, the “e” and the “t” – each 5 and 20, respectively.

    As you can see, the value of the following letters are equivalent to the value of the first.
